Know Who You Are
Wanting personal growth and inspiration for finding the happiness within ourselves points us to the need to understand who we really are. Without this knowledge, we may lack the confidence and foundation necessary to carry us through to becoming our highest and best selves.
Of all the roadblocks along the way to self improvement, not believing we are worthy is near the top of the list. Once we discover who and what we are in relation to our universe, this resistance can be removed.
Throughout history, we’ve spent much time and energy arguing and disagreeing about this primary point. What has developed is quite intriguing. With advances in scientific understanding in the field of quantum physics, we are on the leading edge of discovering that there are more similarities than differences in most of the ideologies we’ve been taught.
It is not so important to prove that one group’s ideas are right and another’s are wrong. This should not be the goal of our personal growth and our inspiration for finding the happiness within ourselves can not be accomplished through separation. What’s important is to grasp what they all have in common and to build on that unified knowledge.
The Common Element is: We Are All Created from Source Energy
Whatever we name that energy is really not an issue. We can call it Source, Source Energy, Brahman, Universe, Love, God, the Unified Field, Well-Being or a host of many other names.
You can pick one that you identify with. Use one that doesn’t cause you emotional stress or turmoil and let that name help associate this energy with a word that feels good when you use it.
I use the word God because I am comfortable with that idea. I grew up with this teaching and have associated good feelings and uplifting ideas with this name. Others have grown up with a God idea that doesn’t feel good and calls up strong, adverse emotions. Don’t let a name get in the way of your understanding.
For our purposes, I’ll use the good feeling word, Love, to name this source of energy. Quantum physics teaches us that all things are composed of this energy. Nothing that is perceivable in the physical world has a different composition.
In the beginning was Love, the source of all things, the energy from which you and I are composed. All who study this energy; from physicists to metaphysicians to enlightened masters all agree on the properties which source energy possesses.
Love is Everywhere Present, All Powerful and All Knowledgeable
Logically, if the source of something contains these properties, then that something contains the properties as well. I hope you are following the concept here. As a child of the universe, a child of God or a creation of Love, you and I possess these qualities. Let’s take a closer look at each one in order to better understand how each applies to us.
Love (source energy) is everywhere present. This means that we are connected to everything else in the universe. It is impossible for us to be separate or separated from Love. It also means that everything in the universe is connected to us, affects us and is affected by us. No more ideas of our being insignificant are possible when we understand this quality of who we are. We are an important part of everything and our life force is needed and has value.
Imagine the Red Blood Cell Feeling Less Important Than the Heart
The mighty heart, the most revered of all human body parts would prove of no use whatsoever without the tiny blood cell. They are dependent upon each other and intimately connected just as we are connected to Love. You count. Without you, the universe would not be what it is.
Love is all powerful. This power is what brings the creative shape from nothingness (the silence) to being in our physical world. (See the article,The Science of the Law of Attraction for a discussion on this topic) This power is found in our minds, it’s the power of thought.
Thought is the creative force of the universe. It has shaped all that we see in our physical world. This power of thought is what we may use to shape our own reality. As we think, so is our world. We manifest into our material presence that which we consistently think about, whether it’s something we want or not.
Love uses this power to create anything and everything that is created. We are a product of thought and composed of Love, therefore we also have full access to this property. When we know who we are and what we are made from, we may confidently use thought as a creative force in our lives.
Love is all knowledgeable. Source energy knows all the rules and all the universal laws operating in the universe. There is no mystery as to why and how anything that occurs does so. Access to this intelligence is automatic for Love. It comes naturally.
As creations of Love, we too naturally have access to this intelligence. It’s through the knowledge of these universal laws and principles that we were created in the first place. As we become aware of the truth of who we really are and how we are created from Love, we begin to understand how to use this knowledge to create our reality.
Why Don’t I Feel Connected, Powerful and Knowledgeable?
The answer to this question is the key to success in both our own personal growth and inspiration for finding the happiness within ourselves. We have looked at the world with our physical eyes and tried to understand what we see with our physical senses. This has produced more questions than answers.
All of the answers are found inside the presence, the power and the knowledge of Love (Source Energy). They can not be accessed through the physical senses in our material world. We need to go into the silence from where Love comes, the same silence that is inside of each of us.
This is not as difficult as it sounds. Sit quietly in a place where you won’t be disturbed. Think about the truth that you now know. Acknowledge that you are aware that you are the offspring of Love. Accept yourself as being connected to Love in all things and in all situations.
Practice knowing your qualities. You are always connected to Love. You have the power of creative thought, and you have the knowledge that comes naturally when you need it. Use that intelligence to remain aware of your connection and your value. Never doubt who you really are.
When the physical world gets heavy around you and you are tempted to feel insignificant and without value, remember who you are. Remember the properties that you share with Love and know that these are the same properties you will use as you grow more and more confident to become your highest and best self.
