The Science of the Law of Attraction Part 1
We all have become aware of the Law of Attraction and that this is an attraction based universe. Science reveals - like attracts like. Whatever we spend most of our recurring thoughts upon, grows, expands and often times comes forth as our reality.
But, how does it actually work? Is there a simple explanation for the science of the Law of Attraction?
The answer is yes, there is. I have read and learned from many teachers, though the credit for my simple understanding goes to Dr. Deepak Chopra. He has a real knack for helping one to grasp the science behind this universal law.
Follow along as I take a complex, omnipresent concept and attempt to place it in a nutshell. There are three realms of existence in the universe. Our level is the physical or the material realm. Here, energy is formed into material objects and things: air, water, solid objects, people and BMW’s. We can see them, touch them and experience them with our five physical senses.
Did you ever stop to realize that four of the fives senses are centered in the head? And the fifth sense is also interpreted by the head. So, we can say that this is the level of the head or the brain.
The second one is the middle level or the domain of quantum physics, the quantum realm. Much attention and focus has recently been placed upon this middle level of existence and the Law of Attraction is heavily involved here. This is the level of thinking, feeling, imagining and knowing.
Interestingly, the word quantum comes from the Latin meaning ‘how much?’ This then is the realm of the mind beyond the brain. It is the connecting bridge between the other two realms and is where the heart of the Law of Attraction resides.
The third level of existence is the virtual realm. This is the most intriguing of the three for me. Here we find (or don’t find) the great “nothingness” - no manifestations at all - no form. Recall in the book of Genesis where it says, “In the beginning, the earth was without form” - a formless void. That is the virtual realm.
What is so interesting is that this is the domain of source energy, some say the domain of God. All the building blocks are here. It can be said that this is a “field of all possibilities.” Let’s look at it as a pantry containing all the ingredients necessary to make anything imaginable.
The only catch is , there are no labels and none of this “energy” has been combined into anything recognizable as of yet. It is simply a soup of nothingness.
The waves of energy inside the pantry are called forth to flow into the middle or quantum realm to be combined and formed into ideas prior to reaching our physical realm. This virtual level is the realm of Universal Mind, the totality of all intelligence. the source of all that is.
There is just one more point to consider before we experiment with how this Law of Attraction works. Our analogy of the virtual realm being a pantry holding all the ingredients for all possibilities is itself a fallacy. You see, this virtual level has no boundaries, no walls, no beginning and no ending, therefore the possibilities cannot be held or contained here, though for our purpose you get the picture.
Now, how does the Law of Attraction operate through these three realms of existence? Let’s do a quick review. Ours is an attraction based universe. Like attracts like.
The quantum realm is the level of thinking, feeling, imaging and knowing. This is the level of ideas. The virtual realm is where the energy which is the source of everything exists prior to being formed into ideas or thoughts or feelings which precede all physical manifestations. It can be said that the virtual level is where “nothing” is before it becomes “something.”
Don’t let the physical words or the ideas confuse you. Just slow down and pick the ideas apart and the let the process flow from the virtual plane through the quantum plane to finally show up in your physical plane.
Let’s say you have a desire for a perfect, new job. To use the Law of Attraction to bring the desired job into your physical reality, you need to match your positive energy thoughts with the positive energy of the new job.
You’ll activate your brain to come up with all the really good and positive benefits of the job. Next, you’ll go into the quantum level and use your mind and emotions to think about, imagine, feel and to know all the positive qualities you have which match this positive energy job. You believe (feel) you are worthy and deserving of this job. You know you can provide service to the universe (others) through this job and you are willing to do so. You wrap your idea with all this positive energy.
Here is where science gets so exciting. Not only is the physical realm attraction based, so too are the quantum and virtual levels attraction based. Like energy attracts like energy. This is accomplished through a form of communication within the Universal Mind. (Some call this Spirit).
By placing your thoughts and feelings in the quantum realm, this idea energy vibrates and begins to attract more energy from the virtual realm, the storehouse of “nothingness” or “everything possible,” pulling all the necessary energy ingredients back into the quantum level. Now, the quantum level thoughts and feelings you activated, along with the energy pulled from the virtual realm, begin to form and organize all this “unformed” energy into a match for what you desire, the new perfect job.
This energy is a match of positives, and like attracts like. Therefore the newly formed and called forth job, with all its positive qualities, appears in manifested form inside your physical realm.
Just like magic. No, just like science. It’s universal law and it works this way every time without fail - Source energy formed by ideas, thoughts and feelings drawn into your physical experience by The Law of Attraction.
