Pay it Forward

A Simple Yet Powerful Concept

"Pay it Forward" is simply the idea of paying a debt, not by returning payment to the individual it is owed to, but by paying it to someone else who has a similar need or situation as the original debtor.

A good example - If I help someone jump start their car, I ask that they pay it forward by helping another individual that has car trouble. By continuing this payment method, the helping never stops.

There is usually huge leeway given as far as exactly how the debt is paid. For instance, I don't care whether you give of your time, money, knowledge or energy. Just as long as you feel you have given more than you received, I am happy.

The final advantage to pay it forward is that each time the payment forward is made a new debt is created by asking the new person to Pay It Forward.

The cycle of giving never stops.
